Stone Gems on single hex Broken Pillar |
Marrow Hive and Tor-Kul-Na
- Apple Barrel Colors #20756 English Ivy Green by PLAID [link]
- Citadel Black Wash
I'm repaint all my marrow. The flesh/bone look is not appealing.
Stone Gems on single hex
- Repaint the hex from green to Black
- Determine which rocks fit snugly on base
- Use some playdough in the center, glue the bottom to the hex base
- Glue each rock to eachother and playdough
- Paint Glitter Glue over rock to make the sparkle
- Glue gems on rocks
- Once dried, flock the inbetween spaces that show the playdough
- Add some moss

And you know it's magical - LOOK it stole my camera's soul!

As you can see from the pics above I used ORANGE playdough for the center. I should have spray painted the playdough black before gluing the rocks. It was very difficult to get the flock into the crevice to cover the orange.
Broken Pillar
- Use a tool to remove some of the hex tile so that the pillar fits snug below the TOP of the hex
- Glue the broken pillar to the hex base
- Fill the pillar with playdough and smear it around the top so it looks like a base
- Next cover the hex with glue and place rocks. I covered my with sand as well
- You can add some glue to the pillar itself and cover with sand

I would have taken more time to glue a piece of cardboard and fit over the end of the pillar. It would have been a lot more work but possibly worth it.
